The strongest taste out if this product is the non-dairy creamer and it's heavy on that. It doesn't even taste like coffee or pumpkin spice...very weak. Since I don't particularly care for the taste of powdered non-dairy creamer, I can't give it more than 2 stars. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful This review is from: Maxwell House International Coffee Pumpkin Spice Latte, 9-Ounce Cans (Pack of 4) (Grocery) Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this?) I have enjoyed Maxwell House's latte products but, don't like the flavor of this one. Making it to the manufacturer's specifications, I mixed in 1 1/3 tablespoons (that's 4 teaspoons)to 6-8 ounces of water. The foamy top layer looked good, just like a restaurant latte. But, the proof is in the aroma (light pumpkin spice scent) and the drinking. I did not taste the coffee at all. In fact, it was more of a tea-like flavor. Too weak.Reading the ingredients list is a sojourn into a science class. To paraphrase an old TV commercial, it's 'better living through chemistry'. Chemists have created many products that mimic natural ones--just not this one. While I like pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice scented candles and the like, I don't care for this drink. And neither did two others who tried it. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: Maxwell House International Coffee Pumpkin Spice Latte, 9-Ounce Cans (Pack of 4) (Grocery) Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this?) It's been years since I tried an International Coffee flavor, and I find that the brand has definitely improved. Years ago, their coffees had a bitter aftertaste that I didn't like. I didn't find that problem with Pumpkin Spice Latte. Yes, it's instant coffee and as such not quite as good as coffee made the regular way, but I enjoyed the pumpkin spice flavor and the ease of preparation. I made it first with boiling water, adding coffee creamer after it was made. Then I tried making it with hot milk. I definitely liked the latter version better. The coffee has a nice foam on top and takes just a couple of minutes to make. A good choice when you're in a hurry or at your desk. |
